GAF Master Elite
Master Elite® Certification is GAF’s factory certification program that provides ongoing training to roofing contractors and assurance to you that the roof will be completed well and professionally. Only 3% of all roofing contractors have qualified as Master Elite®.

President’s Club One Star Award
The President’s Club designation is the highest level award a Master Elite contractor can earn within the GAF Certified Contractor Program.
Performance: Install and register 50 Golden Pledge Limited Warranties; two-time Triple Excellence winner; consumer rating of 4.5/5.0
Reliability: At least seven consecutive years of selling 10 or more Golden Pledge Limited Warranties
Service: Annual warranty income in excess of $60,000
Triple Excellence Award
Gaining the Master Elite® status is a great feat in itself, but getting the Triple Excellence Award from GAF is even more impressive. Among the many recognitions we’ve received over the years, it’s one of those that truly separates us from the rest.
Collectively known as the Triple Excellence Award, these awards cover three important areas: installation excellence, consumer protection, and training excellence.
Consumer Protection Excellence Award
Providing Superior Protection for Your Client… this award recognizes those contractors that best protect their clients with system selling and enhanced warranties.
Qualification details…
- A Master Elite Contractor must install and register a minimum of 100 enhanced warranties or a minimum of $10,000 in warranty dollars in a calendar year.
- Any combination of Weather Stopper™ System Plus Ltd. Warranty, Silver Pledge Ltd. Warranty and Golden Pledge™ Ltd. Warranties will qualify.
Training Excellence Award
Your Commitment to Training… this award is for contractors that are committed to training and continuous improvement.
Qualification details…
- A minimum of 10 employees must either pass the Pro Field Guide test (with a score of 80% or better) or attend a CARE seminar in a calendar year.
Installation Excellence Award
Demonstrating High Level of Quality… this award is for contractors that consistently install with a very high level of quality and provide their customers the highest protection that GAF offers.
Qualification details…
- A Master Elite contractor will earn this award when he achieves a minimum of 30 Golden Pledge™ Ltd. Warranty projects in a calendar year and maintains a satisfactory record in relation to installation complaints and follow up on punch list items.
Better Business Bureau
Being a member of the Better Business Bureau is our most important recognition. It assures customers we are committed to putting them first, especially when something does not go as planned.
In 2009 the general contractor and roofing/siding industries held the most BBB inquiries and the most BBB complaints. We are proud to consistently have an “A+ Rating” with the Better Business Bureau. Although we are a larger player in a scrutinized industry, our record with the Better Business Bureau is in great standing and is open for you to look at.
